TEHRAN –- Archaeologist Hamid Abolfazli from Shahroud has skillfully recreated embossed patterns of the historical monuments on earthenware in his recent array of artworks.

Inspired by the motifs in the historical monuments of Jame’ mosques in Natanz, Kashan, Mashhad, and Boroujerdiha's House in Kashan, the artist was able to create over 40 artworks. The embossed patterns comprise arabesque, verses of holy Qoran, and Kufic transcriptions, as well as geometrical writings on pottery works.

Abolfazli has been a major contributor to numerous art exhibitions in the past.
